Final #5

Today in the United States there are many more advancements in our government and food supply, but also the generosity of others has also increased. During one period of Rome, there was a line of bad emperors would were in reign. The government was not as sufficient. Food supply was limited because of the lack of technology. Also, many of the peasants or even wealthy with mental or physical disabilities were look down on. The United States now is far more advance than the time of the Roman Empire.

The United States' government has changed and added many new laws to the justice system such as a drinking age and in some states banning the death penalty. "When he became emperor, he did not hesitate to boast in the Senate that he had conferred their power on both his father and his brother, and that they had but returned him his own; nor on taking back his wife after their divorce, that he had "recalled her to his divine couch" ["Pulvinar" here means the couch for the images of the gods; cf., Aug. xlv.1]"

  • In The Decatur Daily published in Decatur, Alabama, the FEMA funds to build shelters. This act of kindness only proves how benevolent some people in the United States are now. Back in the time of the Roman Empire before Emperor Claudius was in reign,
"His grandmother Augusta [Arkenberg: i.e., Livia] always treated him with the utmost contempt, very rarely speaking to him; and when she admonished him, she did so in short, harsh letters, or through messengers." Throughout the years, the amount of kindness shared has increased also meaning that the United States as a country as advanced too.
